The Law supplements the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine, liquidating institution of people´s assessors in criminal process, while the cases that currently refer to the jurisdiction of composition of court with their participation shall be handed to the composition of court out of three professional judges.
Under to the Law, "judicial inquiry of criminal cases commenced before the enactment of the bill with the participation of people´s assessors is completed under the provisions applicable before the enactment."
